What Polish Can Fix and What It Can't

Second, always keep the original and run a side-by-side, line by line. For a faster comparison, read both versions out loud — or use a text to speech tool to listen to them back to back; the ear catches rhythm changes that the eye misses. Third, if you're using an article generator for first drafts of scenes or outlines, polish only the parts you'd polish anyway — the prose, not the structure or the voice. The tool is your line editor, not your rewrite partner. Accept the fixes that make it cleaner, reject the ones that make it blander, and you'll save hours without losing what makes the story yours.
